Founding Director

Nikol Popovská

Nikol Popovská is the founding director of Nia Gallery, shaped by her deep-rooted personal history and professional journey. Born into a refugee family, Popovská pursued a career in law to advocate for the rights of others but ultimately discovered that art provided a more profound and effective way to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity. “Nia Gallery was created to disrupt conventional narratives,” she explains, “and to provide a platform where artists can explore and express the complexity of human experience across cultures, identities, and borders.” Her vision infuses the gallery with a unique purpose, bridging art and social impact to inspire meaningful change.

Creative Director

Yasmin Keshmiri Hejduk

Yasmin Keshmiri Hejduk is a Creative Director with over 30 years of experience in the creative industry. A native Iranian raised in London and now based in Prague, she brings a broad perspective shaped by her work across various sectors. Her extensive experience has influenced her philosophy and approach, positioning her as a storyteller passionate about bringing ideas to life. Her work is defined by a strong minimal aesthetic, an immersive focus, and a tailored approach, offering fresh perspectives that leave a lasting impact.

In addition to her curatorial work, Lucie is also a prolific writer, regularly contributing articles on contemporary art, which reflect her deep understanding of the art world and current cultural trends.

Lucie’s career combines her expertise in curating innovative exhibitions with her work as a gallerist, where she has successfully fostered connections between local and international art communities. Her thoughtful approach emphasizes creating meaningful dialogues between artists, institutions, and audiences, while championing inclusivity and cultural diversity.
