SAP is an exhibition opening NIA Gallery’s year-long program. It reflects on nature as the origin of existence - a force that nourishes, connects, and continually transforms life.

Sap is an essential source of life for every organism on our planet. In humans, it flows through the lymphatic system; in plants, through vascular bundles. More broadly, as a stream of minerals and energy in ocean currents, rainfall, and underground flows, it nourishes our planet.

Art is a reflection of the life that surrounds us. It enriches both soul and mind. In a metaphorical sense, sap becomes the essence of our spiritual experience. This vital current can be found in the glass flowers of Eliška Monsportová, in the corals of Patrik Kriššák, in the embroidered plants of Natalie Perkof, in Jakub Špaňhel’s butterfly atlas, in the ravines, forests, and branches of Filip Dvořák, in the collages and drawings of natural forms by Sára Bojović, in the human figure of Karim Largou, or in the electricity-shaped flowers of Krištof Kintera.
